I’m the face behind Sue’s Special Days Photography, professional button pusher, dress fluffer and occasional tissue supplier!
I’m a wedding photographer based in Rainham, Gillingham, Kent and I genuinely love what I do. Over the years I’ve photographed everything from huge celebrations to small, intimate weddings and every single one has had its own story to tell.
For me, wedding photography isn’t about spending your whole day posing for the camera. It’s about capturing your wedding as it really happens. The nerves before the ceremony, the happy tears, the big laughs, the hugs you didn’t even notice and of course, those questionable dance moves later in the evening!
I’ll guide you when you need me, help out when I can and probably have a laugh with you along the way. But most of the time I’ll be quietly watching everything happening around me and capturing the moments that make your wedding completely yours.
There’s something pretty special about being trusted to photograph one of the biggest days of someone’s life.
I get to meet amazing couples, visit beautiful venues and be there for moments that families will talk about for years to come. Even after photographing hundreds of weddings, I still love the excitement of arriving on the morning and knowing that no two days are ever going to be quite the same.
Some weddings are big and glamorous. Others are small, intimate and wonderfully relaxed. Some run perfectly to plan and others come with a little bit of organised chaos. I love them all.
For me, it’s the people and the moments that make a wedding. Seeing the nerves disappear, hearing the speeches, watching families come together and capturing all those things happening in between.
And knowing that the photographs I take will still be bringing those memories back years from now?
That’s a pretty lovely job to have. ❤️
One thing that’s really important to me is that your wedding photographs should still look like you.
I don’t believe in overly editing photographs or changing your wedding into something it wasn’t. Your day already has everything it needs. The people you love, the venue you chose, the weather you got and all the little things that made it yours.
Every photograph I deliver is carefully edited to bring out the best in the image while keeping it natural and true to the moment I captured.
I also don’t use AI to create or alter your wedding memories. If something happened on your day, I want you to remember it as it really was, not as a computer thinks it should have looked.
Years from now, I want you to open your photographs and recognise the people, the places and the moments exactly as you remember them.
Beautifully captured, carefully edited and still completely you.

I’ve been photographing weddings for more than 10 years and have had the privilege of capturing over 400 special days along the way.
I’m incredibly proud to have had my work recognised within the wedding industry, but I’m just as proud of the trust couples and venues continue to place in me.
I’m proud to be a Hitched Wedding Award 2026 winner, a Kent Wedding Awards finalist and a preferred wedding photography supplier at venues across Kent and the South East.
Awards are lovely, but for me the best recommendation will always be a happy couple looking back at their photographs and remembering exactly how their wedding day felt.
I know having your photograph taken isn’t everyone’s favourite thing, and that’s absolutely fine. My job is to make everything feel as relaxed and natural as possible.
I’ll be there when you need a little guidance, help organise people when it’s time for those important group photographs and keep an eye on all the little details along the way.
I’ve been known to fluff dresses, calm nerves, carry things, find missing people, supply the occasional tissue and generally muck in wherever I’m needed!
But I also know when to disappear into the background. Your wedding isn’t about me or my camera. It’s about you, your family and your friends having an amazing day.
So expect plenty of laughs, absolutely no pressure to be someone you’re not and a photographer who genuinely wants you to enjoy every minute of it.
