Hi, I’m Sue, a wedding photographer based in Kent, professional button pusher, dress fluffer and occasional tissue supplier!
For me, wedding photography is about so much more than taking beautiful photographs. It’s about helping you feel completely at ease and capturing your day naturally, with all the laughs, happy tears and little moments in between.
My style is relaxed, fun and personal. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but most of the time I’ll be blending into the background, capturing your wedding as it really happens.
Most importantly, your photographs should still look like you. Natural, genuine memories of one of the most special days of your lives.
Wedding Photography Across Kent
Based in Rainham, Gillingham, I photograph weddings throughout Kent and across the South East, from beautiful countryside venues and relaxed barn weddings to hotels, registry offices and intimate celebrations.
I’m lucky to work at some fantastic wedding venues across Kent and I’m always happy to travel somewhere new. So whether you’re getting married in Medway, Maidstone, Canterbury, Rochester or further afield, I’d love to hear all about your plans.
And if your wedding takes us beyond Kent, that’s absolutely fine too. I’m happy to travel across the UK and even further afield for destination weddings.

I'll give you a little guidance when you need it and keep things relaxed, so your photographs feel natural and still look like you.

My Approach
Your wedding day shouldn’t feel like one long photoshoot. You’ve got enough going on!
My approach is relaxed, fun and all about capturing the real moments. The nervous smiles, happy tears, dodgy dance moves, hugs you didn’t even realise were happening and all those little moments between the big ones.
I’ll gently guide you when needed, but most of the time I’ll be blending into the background, keeping an eye out for those magical moments while you get on with enjoying your day.
It’s often the moments you didn’t plan that become some of your favourite photographs. A look across the room, a proud parent, a spontaneous hug or everyone finally letting loose on the dancefloor.
That’s why I’m always watching what’s happening around me, not just what’s happening in front of the camera. Your final gallery should tell the story of your whole wedding day, including the moments you might not have even seen yourself.
And then there are the moments everyone is waiting for. Walking down the aisle, saying “I do”, your first kiss, the speeches, cutting the cake and taking to the dancefloor.
I’ll be there to capture those big moments too, without taking over your day. From the moments you’ve planned for months to the ones nobody saw coming, together they tell the complete story of your wedding.
A Little More About Me
I’m Sue, the face behind Sue’s Special Days Photography and I genuinely love being part of a wedding day.
Over the years I’ve photographed everything from big celebrations to small, intimate weddings and I still get excited about every single one. No two weddings are ever the same and that’s exactly why I love what I do.
I’m not the photographer who wants to take over your day or have you posing for hours. I’m much happier having a laugh with you, helping when I’m needed and quietly capturing everything happening around me.
I’m incredibly proud to have been recognised for my work too, including winning a Hitched Wedding Award 2026 and being selected as a finalist in the Kent Wedding Awards.
But awards aside, the most important thing to me is that you enjoy your wedding day and come away with photographs that bring all those memories flooding back every time you look at them.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings at some wonderful venues across Kent and the South East and I’m incredibly proud to be a preferred wedding photography supplier at three fantastic Kent venues.
Knowing a venue really does help. I already know where some of the best spots for photographs are, where the light works beautifully and how to make the most of the surroundings without keeping you away from your guests for hours when you should be enjoying your wedding!
